okay NOW finally done. the full figures on pink ended up being more interesting, but the original idea was to do it as a movie poster, so now they will not be able to say i did not follow through.

you can see the detail of the background flourishes in the embossing (the title is subtly embossed, which does not show up well in pictures), but the foil is blown out, obscuring the actual lines. insider info: this was accidental, a consequence of the dumb way i organize my layers in photoshop. upon receiving the proofs—-true to SBaHJ form—-we elected not to fix it.

Topatoco released a hardcover collection of Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff that myself, John Keogh, and David Malki all worked on as designers for to make the best possible book from the worst possible material. IPGD did the cover for it. This book is fucking beautiful and I am so proud of it. We all are. It comes with a 3 ft long ribbon bookmark, a lenticular stairs bookmark, a plastic paperclip, and 1 of 4 possible collector coins. Also it will have scratch and sniff stickers on the back cover. This book is a work of love from us all and is also a really nice collection too, IF I SAY SO MYSELF. I believe this is the only run of this book that will ever need to be, so jump on it now.

the response to this whole thing has been encouraging and pleasant. we’re gonna keep watching bad movies and sketchin about ‘em until we get tired of doing so. i can’t recall if any of us have already said what we’re doing for volume 2, so i will keep quiet except to assure you that oh boy oh man they are 3 of cruddiest movies out there.

woah what up new viewers. thanks to tumblr for puttin my shrekpile on the radar. im glad people like that poopy pile of shrek. anyway, here’s the new wraparound for the second printing of shrekless abandon. photos are a real shrek and donkey RC cars i got for christmas from yuko and ananth and real bottles of jack daniels that dave tried to break strategically so only the bottom was broke, but most of the whole thing shattered. so I tapped up parts of the bottle that was in tact and snapped these pics. we gonna print more this week and also once the SPECIAL STICKERS get in, the other copies will be shipped.
